ADAPT Domestic Abuse Services is a voluntary organisation which was set up in 1974 to provide a wide range of supports to women survivors of domestic abuse and their children across Limerick City and County.
Engage In Education
Engage are an experienced team of educators, business and community activists who support and encourage the development of potential. We work with students, parents and schools in the communities of Southill, Ballinacurra Weston, St Marys Park and Moyross.
St. Munchin’s Community Centre
St. Munchin’s Community Centre, have had an active role in promoting and developing community involvement within the Parish since our establishment in 2005. The Community Centre has developed a broad representative base from within the Community.
Children’s Ark At UHL
The Children’s Ark in the University Hospital Limerick is the only inpatient facility for sick children in the Mid-West. The Children’s Ark is a purpose-built paediatric unit for children with 49 beds in the Sunshine and Rainbow wards, a high-dependency unit, a cystic fibrosis unit and a Caterpillar day ward. There is also a school for children staying in hospital so that those that are well enough can keep up with their school work. BUMBLEance is the official Children’s National Ambulance Service of Ireland. It provides safe and comfortable transportation for Ireland’s youngest patients as they travel between their homes and hospitals, hospices, treatment centres, and respite centres nationwide.
Novas is a voluntary organisation and Approved Housing Body working with families and single adults who are disadvantaged and socially excluded; primarily those who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. Novas provide a range of services and accommodation for marginalised households throughout Ireland.
Milford Care Centre
Milford Care Centre is a voluntary, not-for-profit organisation and registered charity. It was first established by the Little Company of Mary Sisters in 1928 and now provides Specialist Palliative Care and Older Persons Services in the Mid West. Its Board of Directors and Management Team oversees its service delivery and fundraising activities.
Limerick Animal Welfare
Limerick Animal Welfare (LAW) provides a safe haven for unwanted or abandoned animals until a safe, responsible and permanent home is found for them.
Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention
Limerick Treaty Suicide Prevention is a Limerick based charity that patrols the bridges of the Shannon River 4 nights a week offering support to those who are distressed, struggling or may be at risk of suicide.
Deel Animal Rescue
Deel Animal Rescue was established to rescue and assist in the rescue of unwanted, abandoned and mistreated dogs and cats; including the fostering and re-homing of the animals. The charity is run by volunteers.
